When the Ancient Immortal, Gon, challenged the King of the Gods and was struck down, he lashed out. He took out his frustrations on the world, destroying one of the great pillars that suspend the sky far above the mortal realm.
The consequences of his actions were cataclysmic, forcing the weather into chaotic maelstroms and the earth into violent eruptions.
The King of the Gods would tolerate no more. He banished Gon to a place known to the records of the Hall of Excellence as "the Shadowlands".
