We, the descendants of the Athan, came to this land in order to escape from the war in our homeland. This is a record of the origin of the races. Never forget that all of us are the sons and daughters of the noble, ancient gods.

The Balo are strong and tall; they are Chiou's children. Chiou is known as the God of War. He has a human body and a cow's hooves with four eyes and six hands. He is the bravest of the gods.

The Arden are intelligent and agile, skilled at controlling fire, and most of them are good musicians. The Arden are descended from the Fire Emperor, the God of Fire, the son of the sun god. It's said that the Fire Emperor could speak when he was 3 days old, and was able to walk when he was 5 days old. He was the one who taught the people farming and singing.

The Forta are good at hunting and taming wild beasts and claim to be direct decendants of Fuxi. Fuxi, known as the God King of the East, is considered to be the most intelligent of the gods. He has a human's head and a snake's body, and knows the order and truth of the world. (You can't understand the rest of the book.)
