Description
Defeat the remaining monsters and continue your quest. Enchanter Taja will give you your first Esper. Right-click on the Esper to equip it once it is in your Bag.

I don't think you have anything else to worry about. Go ahead and defeat the remaining monsters for your quest, then continue until you are sent to speak to Enchanter Taja. He will give you your first Esper. Equip it by right-clicking it in your Bag.
