Description

Shaw Danon became an orphan when Grasstemple Village was destroyed, and all the villagers were killed. Go find Baye in the Hall of the Founder, he will tell you the whole story.

Shaw Danon was born in Grasstemple Village. Some of the senior apprentices of Jadeon passed by Grasstemple Village after the disaster, and took him into their care. They adopted Baye as well, and the two of them studied together at Bamboo Peak.
- They must have been close friends.
Yes, but the Jadeon elders thought they were too young, and if they stayed together, they would recall the disaster. So they were separated. Baye was very talented and a fast learner. Many of the instructors in Jadeon wanted to teach him.

Shaw Danon, in comparison, was nothing special. During his five years on Bamboo Peak, the only thing he excelled at was cooking. As far as fighting goes, he was mediocre at best. If he hadn't performed so well in the Jadeon Contest and taken fourth place, I'm sure he would've stayed a nobody.

Fusoir wanted an apprentice who could combine the skills of Skysong and Jadeon; blending the two could reveal any philosophical truths uniting the two. He was right. Shaw Danon's Soul Scepter esper was made from the Sinister Orb, which was left to him by Fusoir.
