Anan and Shaw Danon were trapped by Lunar Spirits after they fell into the Abyss.
Life is a cycle, but those souls who don't want to reincarnate become Lunar Spirits. For some reason, there were a large number of them in the Cave of Fangs.
They were afraid of Shaw Danon's Esper and dared not approach, but Shaw Danon was badly hurt from earlier, and he lost consciousness.
- How did they escape the Lunar Spirits?
Anan had to draw the Aeolian Firmus, her esper, but even its power couldn't drive off the Lunar Spirits. Anan was injured and outnumbered.
She drove the Firmus into the rock and prepared to make her last stand, but the Firmus' power blew open a hole in the cave below them. Shaw Danon fell in, and Anan had no choice but to jump in too.

Anan and Shaw Danon were badly hurt, but they kept fighting despite their injuries and exhaustion. They killed Yasho after Yasho until Anan's strength finally gave out and she fainted.
She awoke to see a girl in green attacking Shaw Danon. By chance, they had landed by the Heartless Sea, which was where Bilu had led the Vim.
Later, when the Abyssal Viper appeared, Anan was struck by a huge wave and knocked unconscious. Kevern was the one who found her and took her back to Jadeon.
- What happened to Shaw Danon?
When she woke up, the first thing Anan said was, "Shaw Danon is still alive." Jadeon's disciples looked for him for many days; Anan insisted on joining the search herself, even though she hadn't fully recovered. But eventually, they had no choice but to give up and go back to Jadeon.

Bilu and the Vim trailed them into the depths. Shaw Danon and Anan would have been killed, but the Abyssal Viper of the cave attacked both sides, knocking Anan unconscious. Kevern later found Anan and helped her escape, but they couldn't find Shaw Danon.
He reappeared later, when disciples from every faction went to the Billows and the Mindrot Menace appeared. But Shaw Danon was forced to use his Skysong skills, and it was also revealed that his Esper had been created from the Sinister Orb. Under Jadeon's laws, these made Shaw Danon a heretic.
After returning to Jadeon, Doyel Shen called a meeting to interrogate Shaw Danon, but Baye's master betrayed Jadeon, and the Vim attacked Mount Jadeon.
Doyel Shen used the Regenesis Array to rout the Vim, but they soon returned. When Bilu asked Shaw Danon to leave Jadeon for Vim, and he agreed, Doyel Shen tried to kill Shaw Danon; instead, Bilu gave her life to protect him.
Then the Vim retreated, taking Bilu and Shaw Danon with them, and Shaw Danon became Velonus.
