I sense that Ahotai's magic is similar to the demon's. The Southern Border will sink into chaos...
- I've been meaning to ask you. What exactly is the Beast Lord?
Many years ago, the five tribes of the Southern Border were one tribe called the Wulor. The most powerful individual in the tribe was called the Wizard. In the third year after the eleventh Wizard was named, a monster was born on the One Mountain. At that time, the Yasho underwent a strange transformation. Some of them changed into beast-men, with the heads of animals and the bodies of humans. They were very fierce and cruel, and killed and ate any humans they could catch.
- Those animals seems like monsters.
The monster who ruled over the Yasho was known as the Beast Lord. He used his witchcraft to change the animals into Moonhowl Tigerans, Skyhowl Bruinos, and Skycracker Leons. The Wizard called for all the Wulor to release the power of the Infernal Mirror and seal the Beast Lord within it, but the Beast Lord was too powerful. Though he was badly injured, he broke through their spell and escaped to his lair on the One Mountain. The Wizard herself had used up almost all her power, but she led seven warriors to the One Mountain.
- So the Infernal Mirror came from the Southern Border.
They fought their way past many monsters, and on the sixth day, they came to the cave where the Beast Lord lived. The Wizard asked the others to wait outside while she entered alone. Two days passed, and two of the warriors could not wait any longer and rushed into the cave after her. The other five remained outside until the fifth day, when the Wizard emerged from the cave at last.
- You mean the Wizard killed the Beast Lord?
No, it was not that easy. The Wizard called the five warriors together and gave each of them an item that glowed with magical power. She told them that she had made them from the Beast Lord's body, but his soul still remained in the world. "As long as these five items do not return to the cave," she said, "he will never be revived." Then she began to bleed from countless wounds. At last, she faced the cave mouth and became a statue, using her own soul to seal the Beast Lord in the cave.
- How brave she was...
But every Wizard of the Wulor was designated by the previous one. This Wizard had failed to name a successor, and each of the five warriors was convinced that the position was rightfully his. This led to the Wulor separating into five tribes, each one following a different one of the five warriors. The five relics have remained in the hands of the five tribes... until now. Ahotai has stolen the Jasper Bone and the Dark Staff, and I am afraid he intends to go after the other tribes' relics as well.
- I'll hurry to stop him!(End quest)
