What the Ethereal Immortal said is true. When the spirit of Tianmo Ghoul escaped from the underworld, he left his body - the Herald of Chaos - behind. It's still there, beneath the Kunlun Mountains. Without it, he's a formless spirit. This means he is weak enough to be killed.
But for now, can you investigate the Bronze Shells? I have a horrible suspicion that they might have been transformed into Casket Corpse Guards...
