Tianmo Ghoul's body, the Herald of Chaos, was trapped in the underworld below the Kunlun Mountains. The seal was so powerful that it kept followers of evil from walking on the mountain.
- But the Ethereal Immortal went there!
Of course he did.
- But... he served Tianmo Ghoul!
Do you think the Ethereal Immortal's power was so great that he could overpower the Pillars of Kunlun? Even Tianmo Ghoul isn't that powerful, yet. The Ethereal Immortal served evil, but he wasn't cruel and believed in good. The Pillars of Kunlun weren't designed to keep good people out, so he was able to get inside the shield and destroy it from within.
