One day, Zhang Liang was taking a stroll when he came across a bridge. An old man wearing brown clothes was sitting on its rails. Suddenly, his cloth shoes fell off and landed on the ground beneath the bridge. The old man turned to Zhang Liang and said "Son, fetch me my shoes." Zhang Liang did it. Then the old man said "Put my shoes on for me." Zhang kneeled down and put his shoes on. The old man's shoes fell off again and the old man said "Fetch me my shoes again." Zhang Liang was upset and ready to beat the old man but held back his anger since the man was so old. He put his shoes on for a second time and again for a third time.
