From what I've observed, I don't believe there is someone talking to the woman in yellow. I think instead she may be possessed by the soul of another!

Her behavior is too erratic to be explained any other way. She chose the most dangerous path to travel, but risked her life to allow the woman in white to escape when they were attacked.
