Shaw Danon didn't trust Bilu. However, in that sealed space, they were both desperate, which reduced their hostilities to each other. Shaw Danon set his broken arm according to Bilu's instruction.

The two walked into the inner cave and found a pond. Its water was as red as blood. That was our last master Elder Blackheart's residence--Bloodrop Cave.

They were trapped in a cave. Shaw Danon was injured and due to the cold and lack of food, he became feverish and slipped into a coma. While in a coma, he had many nightmares and Bilu learned of all he had been through by listening to them. If she had not taken care of him, he certainly would have died.
