Do you know of the Valley of Abandon?
- No, though I suspect it might be a valley of some sort.
Yes. It's a valley not far from here. Eight hundred years ago, it was a beautiful mountain until a meteor smashed into it and turned the mountain into a crater. Since then, nothing living can exist there. That is why it is called the Valley of Abandon.
- Oh, I see.
There is a great chasm in the valley, and legend has it that it leads to a hellish netherworld, perhaps even an actual hell. Since the Yasho discord began, icy fumes have started to rise from the chasm. If a living thing touches the icy fumes, their blood is immediately turned into water. It is a horrifying phenomenon.
- Then what shall I do?
Elder Yang once surveyed Valley of Abandon. He said the hole may very well connect to some evil place. He asked me to stay here and cast a spell to seal the valley. Time is short, and I still haven't collected enough Sunflame Wood.
- Sunflame Wood? Where can I find it?
It grows on the steep cliff. Only the agile Monkey Phantasms can collect them, so they may have some of that wood. Please go to get some for me. As you do this, kill any Snoutnose Raiders that cross your path, as they are trying to prevent me from casting the spell.
