I was a general in the mortal world. It was glorious! Then the day came when someone suggested that I work toward immortality. I came here seeking enlightenment. I've been here for decades without having accomplished anything. Sad, isn't it? Anyhow, you know the Frozen Travelers outside of town? They wander through here often.
- Oh, them? It's strange that they pass through here.

What is Kunlun?
- Everyone here seems nice, but they're a little strange.
Kunlun is the entrance to Heaven. Everyone who reaches enlightenment has been tested here. The lucky ones go to Heaven and become immortal. Most people never make it, though. Searing Skyfoxes, Frozen Travelers, they are all simple illusions created by Heaven to test our will. I hate them.
